I enjoy buying clothes, but I don’t enjoy traipsing store-to-store, walking around endless rails of clothes and then queuing for the changing room because someone’s decided to try on the whole shop. So, I do all my clothes buying online and I want to share my favourite and what I believe to be the best […]Read More
Beauty & Style
Makeup, hair and even skincare aren’t my forte. I’ve battled with my skin since I was a teen, have never taken the best of care with my hair after years of hair dye and bleach, and makeup is something I’ve always struggled to master. So, this segment of KayCaton.co.uk is my beauty blog. Don’t expect to turn away with a heap of new knowledge and the ability to do a winged liner, as you certainly won’t find it here.
Instead, you’ll find my beauty favourites I’m enjoying, little tips to try if you suffer with dry skin and large pores like myself, beauty subscription boxes, and other general beauty bits and pieces. Feel free to share your tips, favourites or anything else in the comments!
Pregnancy is something I’ll forever be grateful for experiencing. But just because I’m grateful for embarking on this journey does not mean it’s been an easy ride. Pregnancy…is tough. From the chaotic first trimester with all its new and sometimes odd symptoms, to the breeze of a second trimester (in my experience), through to the […]Read More
Since entering the second trimester, hormones have been rather generous to my skin; pregnancy glow and reduced breakouts, it’s the best! However, I still suffered from the likes of dry skin, large pores and red patches across all areas of my face, not just one particular region. After receiving the Fresh Cohorted beauty box back […]Read More
In 2015, I stumbled across an ASMR video as a recommendation in my YouTube feed, and from there I’ve always found ASMR content to be a form of relaxation for me. If you’re not aware of what ASMR is, it stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response and is what defines the tingling feeling some people […]Read More
I do love a statement piece of jewellery. Nothing ridiculously extravagant in size and design, but something different to your more elegant accessories. Don’t get me wrong, I love my more understated earrings, necklaces and bracelets, but it’s nice to mix it up and have a colourful and fun piece to add to the mix […]Read More
It’s May, one of my favourite months of the year, and even more so now I’m signed up to receive monthly goodies like my Cohorted beauty subscription box! Last month’s Fresh edition was a great one – I’ve been loving using the Rose Deep Hydration Facial Toner every morning and night, and the Black Tea […]Read More
First off, I love jewellery: earrings, rings and necklaces – you name it, I’ll wear it. I came across Megsmakes95’s channel and, after chatting with Megan (the owner) via Instagram, I decided to do a mini interview with her. We were chatting about which products we each liked from her range of ooak clay jewellery. […]Read More
If you’ve already taken a look at the LOOKFANTASTIC mystery box that landed on my doorstep a couple days ago, you’ll know I’ve now subscribed to their monthly beauty box subscription again. So to have two boxes in one week, I feel spoilt for choice on which products to dip into first! Inside the April […]Read More
I love a good subscription box, particularly the beauty ones, but over the years I’ve been very used to sticking with the likes of Glossybox and LOOKFANTASTIC purely for the low price point. This month however, I took the plunge and signed up to the Cohorted beauty subscription which is £39.99 per month – a […]Read More
