I don’t celebrate Easter as a religious holiday, but I do enjoy the events that come with it: the four-day weekend, the chocolate eggs, the cute egg and rabbit decor, Easter baking, plus a lovely lamb roast. But this year I haven’t even bought a chocolate egg yet (although the Cadbury Orange Twirl is tempting […]Read More

Makeup, hair and even skincare aren’t my forte. I’ve battled with my skin since I was a teen, have never taken the best of care with my hair after years of hair dye and bleach, and makeup is something I’ve always struggled to master. So, this segment of KayCaton.co.uk is my beauty blog. Don’t expect to turn away with a heap of new knowledge and the ability to do a winged liner, as you certainly won’t find it here.
Instead, you’ll find my beauty favourites I’m enjoying, little tips to try if you suffer with dry skin and large pores like myself, beauty subscription boxes, and other general beauty bits and pieces. Feel free to share your tips, favourites or anything else in the comments!
Who doesn’t love a good subscription box? I recently subscribed to the LOOKFANTASTIC monthly beauty box for just £10, with free delivery and a free mystery box too. Whilst I eagerly await for the monthly subscription box to arrive, I have this mystery box to enjoy in the meantime. So, what did I get inside […]Read More
I suffer with morning anxiety, but in recent weeks I’d started to suffer with bedtime anxiety too. Intrusive thoughts would come over me: “what if this or that happens in my sleep?”, and would cause me to overthink as soon as I settled under the duvet – even if I felt no anxiety moments prior […]Read More
I’m not a beauty guru, nor do I claim to be one. Back in 2014 when I first started out blogging (on a different blog to KayCaton.co.uk), I dedicated most of my little space on the internet to beauty, hair and skincare product reviews. But, I never truly knew what worked for me. Over the […]Read More
I don’t like clothes shopping. There, I said it. I like getting new outfits and shoes delivered, but going in store and flicking through the endless rails or scrolling page after page online, it’s just not for me. So, that’s why I decided to give Stitch Fix a go. I’ve had two boxes from them […]Read More
Anyone else have a love/hate relationship with their skin? I’ve always had skin concerns, but in the past I’ve not had the disposable income to try fancy treatments or new products which promise to rid me of all my skin insecurities. Several years on, and still suffering at the grand age of 27, I took […]Read More
Braces were the bain of my life as a teenager. The torment from other kids, the discomfort, plus those dreadful retainers once the brace was finally removed. Oh boy do I wish I just suck it up and wore my retainer. But, I was a stubborn teenager like most, and refused to wear it. I paid […]Read More
Is it just me, or do you also love pretty boxes filled to the brim with deluxe beauty products? I used to love subscribing to the likes of Glossybox or Birchbox for monthly surprises thinking, “I wonder what I’ll get this month?”. But since I stopped subscribing, simply because my interest in monthly subscriptions changed, […]Read More
