9 Weeks Pregnant | Pregnancy Diary

9 weeks pregnant + 6 days

How many tests have you taken this week?

One. Sounds silly, but the very end of week 8 and early week 9 I was feeling great and had zero symptoms. ZERO! Which then panicked me thinking, “does this mean I’m not pregnant anymore?”. So I took a test and it was of course still dark.

Stretch marks?

Nope.

Sleep?

Tough. Made worse as I’m now suffering from vertigo when I lie down, so I’m spending most my nights propped up in uncomfortable positions!

Best moment this week?

We got the date for our 12 week scan, and gave my husband his first Father’s Day card from Sticky Bean as “Daddy-to-be”.

Miss anything?

A decent sleep, is that fair?

Movement?

Not at this stage.

Food cravings?

Not a craving still, but I’ve been loving my jacket potatoes, sweet and salted popcorn, and an ice lolly during our evening walks.

Anything make you queasy or sick?

Well, morning sickness really kicked off this week. On Saturday I woke up at 3am with vertigo when I turned on to my side which stopped me from being able to get back to sleep. I sat myself up and scrolled through my phone for an hour until I suddenly thought, “hmm, I feel a little sick”. Seconds later I was running to the bathroom to be sick – I’ve never had sickness come on as sudden as that! From there, which was around 4am, I hadn’t been able to keep anything down until 6pm the same day: toast, soup, yoghurt etc. nothing would stay down other than a rich tea biscuit.

Symptoms?

Morning sickness is the main one to be fair – trumps any other symptom as it’s been so bad I’ve not noticed anything else.

Belly button in or out?

In.

Wedding rings on or off?

On.

Mood?

So low due to sickness, I mainly spent my time getting up, working from home, napping a lot and then back to sleep – and repeat.

Maternity clothes?

Nope.

Looking forward to?

Our dating scan on 6th July!
