7 Weeks Pregnant | Pregnancy Diary

7 weeks pregnant + 6 days

How many tests have you taken this week?

None – there’s nothing that’s concerned me, so not felt the need to now.

Stretch marks?

Nope.

Sleep?

Sleep continues to be poor. I’ve managed to have a couple naps during the day which I was previously struggling with, so that’s helped a bit. But come the evening, I’m fine falling asleep, but staying asleep is something else!

Best moment this week?

We had our reassurance/viability scan and got to see our little sticky bean! Although not a clear picture, we saw a strong heartbeat and they’re measuring 7 weeks as expected. Such a surreal moment and really ramped up the excitement for us again.

Miss anything?

Still being able to eat anything without feeling or worrying about being sick.

Movement?

Not at this stage.

Food cravings?

No cravings, but it’s mainly bread or plain oat biscuits that I enjoy eating. I think they’re my ‘safe foods’ that I know I won’t feel sick after eating.

Anything make you queasy or sick?

Still the usual: mushrooms, peppers, baked beans and eggs. But also general hunger makes me feel sick. I’m also far more sensitive to smells and almost anything that smells slightly odd just sets me off.

Symptoms?

I’ve noticed my veins are quite prominent across my boobs and my calves. Nausea is 24/7. Extreme tiredness. But my boobs have been super tender all week, but this morning that has just randomly vanished. I woke up to go to the bathroom and normally I’m hugging my boobs as they’re so sore, but nothing! I won’t lie, it scared me at first and I took to Dr.Google (of course), but I’ve read on some forums quite a few women who experienced the same thing around week 7 or 8.

Belly button in or out?

In.

Wedding rings on or off?

On.

Mood?

It’s been up and down due to nausea, tiredness and being back at work after 10 days off, but overall feeling good!

Maternity clothes?

No more buying at the moment. I’ve just been wearing looser fitting clothes.

Looking forward to?

Our first midwife appointment on Tuesday!
