11 weeks pregnant + 6 days
How many tests have you taken this week?
Zero.
Stretch marks?
Nope.
Sleep?
Far better, despite catching Covid, as this left me more exhausted than usual so sleep was not difficult.
Best moment this week?
I’ll be honest, no best moment this week. Although Silverstone was great fun, I caught Covid (without knowing until we got back home) which left me feeling a little rough in the final day, and it meant we had to reschedule the dating scan we had booked for today 🙁
Miss anything?
I may have moaned at times about symptoms before this week, but I’d rather all that than suffering with Covid right now.
Movement?
Not at this stage.
Food cravings?
Nope, it’s fair to say food has been the last thing on my mind this week.
Anything make you queasy or sick?
Nothing in particular, but I had sickness Saturday night, Sunday morning and Sunday evening during the journey home from Silverstone – thank goodness I bought sick bags for the weekend! After finding out I had Covid on Monday however, I did call my GP for advice (as it panicked me with being pregnant, despite me being fully vaccinated + the booster) and she said the sickness is likely down to Covid and “flu-like” symptoms rather than morning sickness. That was a relief in an odd way as I was worried the morning sickness was returning when I was nearing closer to the second trimester, but it makes sense that it’s been timed with Covid instead.
Symptoms?
Ignoring Covid-related symptoms, just exhaustion (which is a mix of the two to be fair), and discomfort around my belly. My bump is definitely there, even though tiny, but the firmness is already uncomfortable and I think it’s mainly down to it being a new sensation and things clearly moving down there.
Belly button in or out?
In.
Wedding rings on or off?
On.
Mood?
Very low due to Covid, but today is the third day of testing positive and I’m already feeling better in myself, but clearly not 100% yet.
Maternity clothes?
Nope!
Looking forward to?
Today was the day we should’ve had our dating scan, but this has been rescheduled for 15th July. That’s upset me most as it’s felt like forever and a day to reach this week, but there’s nothing we can do so I’m trying not to dwell on it too much. So, we’re looking even more forward to 15th July now!
[…] morning sickness came on strong. This lasted around five days and then I felt great again. Then in week 11 it returned, but this time I was advised by my GP that it was like a “flu” symptom rather than […]
